The TOM (Tikkun Olam Makers) CSU LA chapter was founded with a mission to bridge the gap between technological innovation and the needs of our local community. Rooted in the spirit of "Tikkun Olam," which means "repairing the world" in Hebrew, our chapter is dedicated to creating practical, open-source solutions for people with disabilities and others facing unmet challenges.
What sets us apart is our strong focus on inclusive design and collaboration. We bring together students, engineers, designers, and Need Knowers to co-create assistive technologies that make a real difference. Our projects focus on impact, empowerment, and innovation, driven by the belief that technology should benefit everyone, regardless of ability.
