Clamp for Port

Clamp for Port - open-source assistive technology working model by the TOM Israel community community

The challenge

The parent/child/medical staff will tear off the port that is connected to the child.

Preventing tearing will make it easier for the child and prevent him from having to go through an unpleasant experience of reconnecting the port.

Who it helps

The solution is intended for children treated in the Hospital in the Oncology Department.

How it works

Our solution offers a small, colorful, and disinfectable clamp that improves comfort, safety, and mood for children, replacing bulky clips and irritating adhesive tapes.

A port fixation that replaces the adhesive paper that nurses stick to the port tube and attach it to the child's clothing using large clam clips that interfere with the child.

Our clam is small and colorful, child-friendly, and can be disinfected.
