About this project

What is the Badger Seal (mask fitter)? A soft, flexible, and adjustable “frame” that significantly improves the outer seal of a mask. It was developed by the University of Wisconsin–Madison to Increase filtration performance, keep Breathability, Reduce fogging with eyeglasses, Reduce slipping. The challenge

Designing a simple and affordable solution that will enable wearers of different masks (cloth and/or surgical) to have a better seal, so that they will be better protected against COVID-19.

Who it helps

Most recently the CDC issued new guidelines regarding the wearing of masks. Per the new guidelines, it is imperative to improve the seal with surgical masks or similar face masks, so that it will provide sufficient protection against COVID-19.
