Raised Keyboard Letters

Raised Keyboard Letters - open-source assistive technology prototype by the University of Michigan community

The challenge

No raised keyboard like this exists. It allows people with muscular control issues to type with fewer errors. Being further from the keys allows users to avoid hitting multiple keys at once.

Who it helps

Jessica needs these letters for a student with muscular issues. The raised letters will help the student type with fewer errors.

How it works

The need-knower will be able to type with fewer errors due to a greater distance between their fingers and keys. This reduces the number of keys pressed at the same time by accident.
