Rivet on Splint Pocket

Rivet on Splint Pocket - open-source assistive technology prototype by the TOM International Community community

The challenge

The Shepherd Center strives to increase patients' independence when

performing activities of daily living such as using a U-Cuff.

Who it helps

Intended users of this Rivet on Splint Pocket are individuals with wrist

splints. This could lead to difficulty using a U-Cuff.

How it works

The Rivet on Splint Pocket limits the need for finger or palm mobility

when using a U-Cuff by creating a pocket for the U-Cuff that is attached

to the splint.

The Rivet on Splint Pocket is a small, 3D printed device that adds a U-

Cuff style pocket to a wrist splint with rivets for a variety of uses.

Tools needed
