The community was established in 2019 and held its first makeathon on July 9-11 2019. In 2020, “TOM: BISHKEK 2020” was timed to coincide with COVID-19. Within three days, 4 teams of young inventors from the regions of Kyrgyzstan developed and presented devices designed to combat coronavirus. The network of makers and need-knowers is growing and aims to bring a social impact by improving the lives of children and people with disabilites in Kyrgyzstan and beyond.
