Adaptable utensil holder

Adaptable utensil holder - open-source assistive technology working model by the Cornell Tech community

The challenge

We wanted to make a tool that would make it easier for people with motor disabilities to grip writing and eating utensils.

Who it helps

People with motor disabilities

How it works

We used an egg-shaped design, flexible mesh, and two flexible openings to provide a flexible and ergonomic holder that could accommodate a wide range of tools.

We created an adaptable writing and eating utensil holder that would make it easier for people with motor disabilities to grip tools with less fatigue and pain.

Tools needed
