Adjustable Gripper for tetraplegics

Adjustable Gripper for tetraplegics - open-source assistive technology prototype by the TOM International Community community

The challenge

People suffering from tetraplegia, upper limb paralysis and individuals with limited arm movement

How it works

The mechanism is based on movements of the wrist extensor or flexor, which cause bushes to tighten, allowing person to carry and catch things and become more independent.
