There is an explicit need to design a harness that does not compromise Anna's freedom of fashion expression for her safety. And allows her to dress freely and remain in control of her dog. The design needs to also be easy to use, clean and maintain.
Anna has a seeing impairment and therefore relies on her guide dog for support. However, Harlem's current harness is not adjustable and when Anna changes her footwear, the harness becomes difficult to use and compromises her safety.
By being able to adjust the height of the harness to match her shoe type, Anna will be able to freely and easily manage her way around without concern for her safety, control and ability to receive/ read the micro movements of the dog.
The re-designed harness will have a height-adjusting mechanism, allowing for the overall harness length to be extended by up to 100mm.
