All terrain chair
About this project
The purpose of the wheelchair is to provide Yolima with a more comfortable transportation device, one that would enable her to perform her daily activities more easily. The idea is to incorporate different accessories to the wheelchair so that she can study, eat, and cook.
The challenge
The challenge for the makers is to deliver a chair for irregular terrain that has a work table, which accommodates their movements and generates higher levels of independence. She dreams of finishing her high school and moving more easily.
Who it helps
At age 8 he was diagnosed with muscular dystrophy, a group of diseases that cause progressive weakness and loss of muscle mass. Yolima lives with her parents and her younger brother in a village in the Municipality of Carolina Del Príncipe, Antioquia.
