B-It is a musical tool that works with a computer to allow users to transform any physical object into an instrument, recording their movements and providing the user with feedback. B-It is designed to help people learn, or even relearn their sense of rhythm. It can help people who have never had rhythm first develop it, or help victims of traumatic brain injuries or strokes redevelop their understanding of and ability to produce rhythm and beats. B-It has potential as a therapy tool to be used by physiotherapists and home users alike, recording and providing data to therapists to help them improve their work and do even more to help their patients.
The challenge is to make a musical tool that allows users to transform objects into instruments.
The need knowers are people in therapy.
