Leonidas has expressed the need for a prosthetic hand that would assist him in playing his instrument with ease and would be more durable than the rubber prosthetic hands he used so far. More specifically, he needs an attachment that would allow him to hold the bottom of the trombone and potentially use a mechanical thumb.
Leonidas is a young trombone player living in Athens, Greece and also a close friend of one of the most dedicated members of the community of Athens Makerspace. He is missing his left hand from his wrist up and he has used a lot of prosthetic hands on the market that are very expensive, break easily and are also not rigid enough for him to hold the instrument while he is playing.
