Equal Access Guide

Equal Access Guide - open-source assistive technology prototype by the TOM International Community community

The challenge

Brendon currently experiences various challenges while being at uni - challenges engaging in pre-class activities and assignments, in classroom discussions with his peers, and attending social events.

Who it helps

Brendon is a 30 year old Blind male currently studying International Relations at Griffith University.

How it works

1. The website will have information informing university staff of how to make learning more accessible for a Blind person.

2. When Brendon's peers access the website, they engage him in discussions and interact with him as they would with anyone

1. A website available for Brendon to show to university staff and students. This website will be available to view on a QR code.

2. A lanyard with ID holder that tells his peers to state their name and has the QR code.

3. A placard that has a big sign

Tools needed

PC or MAC I7 +
