Hang Over was developed during the 2022 Abraham Accords Open Innovation Challenge.
It was designed with the Rehabilitation Department of Hadassah Hospital and for individuals with upper limb mobility challenges to enable greater range and independence.

Individuals with upper extremity motor challenges; originally designed for patients post neurological incidents, strokes, or spinal cord injuries.
Who
Why
After such incidents, most patients struggle to perform daily tasks such as eating and drinking, and despite rehabilitation training, many require additional help to gain independence in these areas.

A wheelchair accessory that helps patients achieve greater upper extremity range of motion. It was based and redesigned on an existing product from Hadassah’s Rehabilitation Department which is big, heavy and not mobile or detachable.
How
An arm sling mechanism that hangs from a pole positioned above the wheelchair to neutralize gravity.
