This is an adaptive cutting board designed to hold items in place for the user and to enable the user to transfer the cut items to another surface with only one usable hand.
This product was originally developed as part of the "Fixperts" course in the Industrial Design department at the Holon Institute of Technology. It was further developed incorporating 3D-printed components by the TOM R&D Team to ease the production process.
The conventional acts of cooking such as holding an item steady while cutting or peeling it and moving items from a cutting board to another surface can be extremely challenging for individuals with only one usable hand.
The one-handed cutting board is designed for people with only one usable hand who want to prepare food safely independently.
