Helping a University Student
About this project
Bronwen was faced with two issues regarding technology. The first had to do with her laptop. When Bronwen was writing essays, occasionally her wrist would accidentally hit the trackpad and it sent the cursor to a completely different location on the document. This messed with the formatting and ruined the essay. You might ask why she does not just turn off the trackpad, and this is because when her friends or mom want to help her with something, they require the use of the trackpad.
The second problem that she was faced with was when using her phone in the rain, the device was not able to sense when she touched it because of the water.
The challenge
The Need Knower needs to be able to use her phone, and the auditory features, even in the pouring rain.
Who it helps
The Need Knower is a college student and aspiring teacher who is visually impaired. She is very independent and uses many adaptive technologies
