Multi-Use Grip tool

Multi-Use Grip tool - open-source assistive technology concept by the TOM International Community community

The challenge

Adam Saynuk has rheumatoid arthritis and needs something that would allow him to use limited movement for tasks that require more movement, and something removable that holds small fiddly things that he needs to be dexterous with.

Who it helps

Our need knower is one of our team mates father. Adam Saynuk is a digital designer that enjoys painting and cooking throughout his day. He is an artist and loves to cook daily in his household.

How it works

This will help Mr. Saynuk by allowing him to continue his daily life without pain. With painting and cooking though, the small precise movements can be difficult and painful, showing how having something that is easier to squeeze and grip can be useful.

Our multi-grip tool is something that will help Mr. Saynuk when he is having grip issues. It is a removable and flexible tool that can be put into paint brushes, cooking utensils, etc. to have a better hold of.

Tools needed

Heavy duty gloves

PC or MAC I7 +

FDM Printer
