Noam DJ

Noam DJ - open-source assistive technology working model by the Hod Hasharon community

The challenge

connects and communicates with the world through music. The device gives him and others the independence to control their playlist despite severe disabilities.

Who it helps

Potential users include individuals with physical, cognitive, or sensory disabilities—like Noam, who is blind with an intellectual disability—who want independent, customizable control over their music.

How it works

The device gives independency control over music playing using simple tactile buttons, reduces frustration and caregiver dependence, and provides a safe, durable solution designed for his physical and cognitive needs.

We offer a wheelchair-mounted music controller with large tactile buttons and a mounted speaker, allowing independently playing, pausing, and skipping songs while caregivers control the volume.
