Open Source Respirators & Ventilators

Open Source Respirators & Ventilators - open-source assistive technology concept by the Coronavirus (COVID-19) community

About this project

Vanturi's open source life-saving nozzle for respirator-free reanimation

The challenge

There is a world wide shortage of ventilators.

Who it helps

In the most severe cases of COVID-19, many patients contract pneumonia, and those who are hospitalized for COVID-19 often require mechanical ventilation or are put on ventilators when they are placed in Intensive Care Units.

How it works

Details:

Full range of 5 respirator-free reanimation Venturi's valves (rev. 4). It has been designed for horizontal and vertical production in low and high volume.

FiO2 / flow:

- 40 % / 42 lpm

- 37 % / 50 lpm

- 34 % / 59 lpm

- 30 % / 86 lpm

- 28 % / 120 lpm

Connections:
