Shape O'Walk - Ergonomic Walking Sticks for Disabled Users

Shape O'Walk - Ergonomic Walking Sticks for Disabled Users - open-source assistive technology prototype by the TOM International Community community

The challenge

Shape O'Walk changes the way you shop, use and place your trust in everyday walking sticks. Due to its ergonomics, these walking sticks are stylish and practical, tailored to suit your needs, measured to your palm, and created to improve your confidence.

Who it helps

Maria has Cerebral Palsy and recently started using two walking sticks to get by. In time, they have caused Maria more pain in the palms, arms and shoulders, as they are not designed specificaly for her needs, are uncomfortable and look old-fshioned.

How it works

Our walking sticks better the lives of disabled people by instilling confidence with its style, trust with its durability and comfort with its ergonomics. By getting an exact measurement of your palm, the walking stick handle fits you better than a glove!

Shape O'Walk offers a product and service innovation, as customers with varied disabilities can get a tailored mould of their palm to suit their needs. Instead of buying a plain, universal walking stick design, you can get one that suits your personality!
