Katza never allowed his prosthetic leg to prevent him from having an active life and serving as an example and inspiration for others with disabilities. Along with many challenges with his current prosthetic, due to its weight, it is not suitable for activities such as rock climbing. The existing market solutions are prohibitively expensive, so Katza is seeking a more affordable solution which will allow him to climb walls comfortably and effectively.
Michael Katzenelson (Katza), age 59, was wounded in the first Lebanon war by a rocket-propelled grenade, which resulted in the loss of his leg. In the past three years, he has been involved only in sports. He is the grandfather of four grandchildren and has been working hard in the years since his injury to inspire the newly wounded and show them that anything is possible.
