"Walking Support Prosthesis"

"Walking Support Prosthesis" - open-source assistive technology concept by the Mexico City community

The challenge

The project is necessary mainly to help the boy to be able to do tasks of everyday life as the simple fact of walking without external help of crutches or people, as well as walking, also help more people who suffer from the same complications as our Need

Who it helps

Brandon is a 19-year-old teenager who has had his right leg amputated as a result of an accident. As a result, our patient is unable to do some things his own way, such as walk or drive his car.

How it works

Ourmain objective is to promote patient autonomy, ensuring unrestricted freedom in decision making and actions. The development of a prosthetic device is critical, as it provides a highly effective means for people to competently perform various activities

As a team, our goal is to develop a versatile leg prosthesis. We aim to provide independence, allowing the patient to perform various activities such as driving without assistance. This solution promotes self-sufficiency and autonomy.
