Traditional ways to support someone with arm cast involves a sling which ends up digging into the neck causing pain and discomfort. The neck was not made for weight bearing; the hips were. The solution aims to transfer the weight of the cast to the hips.
Anyone with an arm cast
This prevents the use of a sling. The hips were meant for load bearing. Additionally, in a humid country (like SG), this allows for better ventilation around the torso, reducing sweaty patches, allowing for a more effective and user friendly solution.
A completely 3D printed arm support that transfers the weight of the arm cast to the waist. Users can attach it to their belts and carry on with their life.
