Amir today competes using a wheelchair which has been customized for him, but his sitting position limits his range of movement back and forth and makes it difficult for him to achieve a competitive advantage in reaching tricky balls. Amir is seeking a team to develop a solution which will allow him a maximum range of movement and help him achieve his goal of representing Israel in the Paralympics.
Amir Levy served in the Paratroopers Brigade and was injured during training in the Golan Heights when he slipped with heavy weight on his back. He suffered severe injuries in his spine and left leg. Amir is a paralympic athlete training for Tokyo 2020 in wheelchair badminton and has previously won world championships. In his daily activities, he gets around on crutches.
