Wheelchair Rugby Bumper

Wheelchair Rugby Bumper - open-source assistive technology product by the Shenkar College community

About this project

This is an affordable, easy-to-manufacture and attach rear bumper for rugby wheelchairs to help players avoid blocks from opponents.

The challenge

The existing chairs do not have a rear blocker necessary for the game, which puts the team at a disadvantage until they purchase new models.

This product was designed with the Israel Rugby Wheelchair Team and for any wheelchair rugby player whose wheelchair lacks a built-in bumper.
