Aut2Talk

Aut2Talk - open-source assistive technology prototype by the Alberta community

About this project

The solution is an application for iOS and Android devices that allows the user to record videos of themselves performing tasks and allows them to playback those videos to help understand verbal communication. The videos are played back when the user presses a button with an emoji associated with the feeling or need that is being communicated.

The challenge

Arnold's challenge is to find a way to verbally communicate his feelings, wants and needs.

Who it helps

Shirley is the mother of Arnold, a kid who has non-verbal Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
