Our need-knower is a woman with a transhumeral amputation who teaches and trains people to swim. At the same time, she competes herself in triathlon competitions. She is full of energy and gets involved in the design process.
She needs to be able to compete in triathlon competitions. For that, she needs to hit the breaks and manipulate the shifters with one hand. Besides, she needs to be able to sustain several positions while riding her bike.
We will create a solution to enable her to hit the breaks and change the shifters with her right hand. Moreover, the prosthesis we designed will allow her to assume at least three positions she uses while riding the bike.
Both breaks will arrive in a little “box” where only one cable will come out to the right break. A left mountain bike shifter will be assembled on the right side. A telescopic prosthesis will allow you to get the three positions and block them.
