Many children can’t enjoy regular board games because they require fine motor control. This project creates an accessible, fun, and social way to play—giving all children a chance to participate, learn, and succeed equally.
This solution is designed for children with motor impairments who find it difficult to play standard board games. It suits kids who need accessible, hands-on play experiences without relying on precise hand movements or fine motor control.
We developed three accessible versions of the game, each using a different mechanism—sliding boards, push-based movement, or a hidden pin system—to support various motor abilities and allow all children to play, track progress, and enjoy the experience.
“Drop the Ball” is a two-player game designed for children with motor challenges. It combines fun, learning, and a clear sense of progress—without needing to move small pieces by hand.
The build files for Drop the Ball are free to download from this page - open source, shared by TOM: Tikkun Olam Makers.
