Fixation vest for medical devices

Fixation vest for medical devices - open-source assistive technology working model by the Shenkar College community

About this project

The team designed a vest that protects Boaz and the medical device connected to his body. The vest is designed to be unnoticeable, comfortable and suitable to wear as a tank top. Allowing the opportunity to connect the medical devices to the body without taking it off.

The challenge

Boaz needs protection to fix medical devices attached to his body from direct water, damage and preventing detachment, providing him the security feel and the possibility to do some activities while his measures are safe and secure.

Who it helps

Boaz is an 8-year-old boy that suffers from CIPO disease. Chronic intestinal pseudo-obstruction (CIPO) is a rare, severe and disabling disorder of gastrointestinal motility.
