Nim's Leg

Nim's Leg - open-source assistive technology prototype by the TOM Israel community community

About this project

This device is a prosthetic canine forelimb for dogs amputated below the carpal joint. The device allows for a more natural, four-legged gait and even weight distribution across the limbs.

The challenge

Nim wants to enjoy life as much as possible, to be able to run across fields, play catch, and go anywhere without anything slowing him down.

Who it helps

Nim is a sweet, fun-loving dog who is currently missing one of his front legs as a result of abuse by a previous owner.

Project details

The build files for Nim's Leg are free to download from this page - open source, shared by TOM: Tikkun Olam Makers.
