Leg device for competitive rowing

Leg device for competitive rowing - open-source assistive technology challenge by the Restart community

The challenge

Barak trains in competitive rowing and represents Israel in international competitions. Having a limited range of motion in both legs makes it difficult for him to row effectively. Existing solutions are not accessible due to their high price and need for customization. Barak is seeking a suitable solution that will connect to the boat and allow him full range of motion for both legs.

Who it helps

Barak Hatzor, age 33, was wounded by an explosion during an IDF operation in Jenin. He is a paralympic athlete training for Tokyo 2020 in rowing.
