Playing the piano

Playing the piano - open-source assistive technology concept by the Restart community

About this project

Music is an important part of Ohad's life; before the injury he played the piano. He sorely misses the ability to play, especially as it could enable him to express himself and to compensate for his speech difficulty. His paralysis prevents him from playing, and he is seeking a solution that will compensate for the injured hand and allow him to play the piano independently.

Who it helps

Ohad Ben Yishai, age 23, served in the Egoz unit and suffered a critical head injury during Operation Protective Edge. Ohad has been in the process of rehabilitation for the past four and a half years and still suffers from paralysis in his right arm and leg and great speech difficulty.
