OSSD Guitar

OSSD Guitar - open-source assistive technology prototype by the 2021 TOM Global Innovation Challenge (GIC) community

About this project

This Project can help Ofer who loves to play the guitar but can’t due to his disability. By disassembling the

(complex) playing action that requires two hands, for a task that can

be performed by one hand & foot, thus making it more

accessible with his disability.

We offer a guitar that is played with a single hand and one foot.

The device will control the strumming while the player will control

the notes , rhythm & speed. A variety of strumming options

will be available for the player to choose from.
