The team aimed to give Sean a physical support system to help him stand on his own. They sewed straps to a supportive back brace that connects to two suction cups harnessing him to the counter. These suction cups were attached to portable copper poles for each side of his body that connect Sean to the floor through two more suction cups and the counter. This provides him with extra support and stability. From now on, Sean will be able to stand at the counter on his own giving him more independence!
It is hard for Sean to gain independence in his home. It is very hard for him to stand on his own or keep his balance.
Sean is and 18 year old with Cerebral Palsy. He loves his summer camp and was very happy to be reunited with his camp friend, Spencer, at the TOM event!
The build files for Sean are free to download from this page - open source, shared by TOM: Tikkun Olam Makers.
