Youki’s team worked with him and his parents to develop several unique solutions. One is a harness that can be attached to a pair of pants to allow Youki to dress himself. This also includes a mechanism that allows him to close zippers. Another is a system of pulleys attached to a portable structure that assists his mother in dressing him.
Youki's Mum struggles with dressing him and changing his clothes, as Youki’s weight makes it very difficult for her to physically support him while trying to dress him.
Youki is a 19-year-old boy born with cerebral palsy. He cannot walk and uses an electric wheelchair which he controls using a joystick with his right hand. He cannot use his left hand, both legs are paralysed, and he finds it very difficult to balance.
