TIPTOE TOOL

TIPTOE TOOL - open-source assistive technology working model by the TOM International Community community

The challenge

Bianca is deeply passionate about mosaic art, yet her limited dexterity in one hand presents challenges in individually cutting and shaping smaller pieces. She seeks a solution to enhance her independence in pursuing this creative occupation.

Who it helps

Bianca has had a stroke resulting in hemiplegia for her right side. Due to this, she has lost significant control and strength in her right upper and lower limbs. She retains complete control over her left non dominant side.

How it works

This solution empowers Bianca to engage in mosaic art independently, promoting her individuality and creative expression. With this tool, Bianca can also pursue her passion for mosaic art at home, without needing any assistance.

We are offering an accessible mosaic cutter controlled by foot, designed to empower individuals who have had a stroke or have limited dexterity in one hand. This solution enhances their ability to cut and shape mosaic pieces independently.
