This project is needed because wringing out a towel is a common, everyday task that requires a high level of dexterity and rotational movement of the hands. This task is very difficult, if not impossible, for individuals without full hand/ wrist mobility.
Pache has rheumatoid arthritis which limits the dexterity in her hands. She needs a device that can help with wringing out a towel.
After placing the towel in the device, the lid will be pushed downwards and water will be expelled.
Our device will aid in wringing out a wet, small towel or sponge with little effort required by the user.
Tools needed
