About this project

The product is a device which produces music and light when a person is on the trampoline. The device is composed of the following modules: Sound module is responsible to produce sound according to the following flow: When distance sensor indication is below threshold then a random song will be played. When distance sensor indication is above threshold the song playing will be stopped. The sound module is deployed on a dedicated Arduino. Sound module includes the following hardware components: Catalex MP3 Board (YX5300 Chip) + SD card Ultrasonic sensor HC-SR04 (distance sensor) X 2. ARDUINO UNO REV3. Standard speakers. Standard head phone doubler socket. See attached code: sound_module.txt 2. Lights module Lights module is responsible to display led strip according to played music providing an equalizer appearance. Light module includes the following hardware components: ARDUINO UNO REV3. LCD Led strip. See attached code: lights_module.txt

The challenge

Both need knowers like to jump on the trampoline but lose interest after a while. The challenge is to make the trampoline more attractive and interesting for the kids to use.

Who it helps

The need knowers are two autistic kids aged 6 and 9 years old.
