Our wearable implements several therapies that have been shown to improve "left awareness" in physiotherapy sessions. A wearable allows the patients to independently apply the therapies throughout their day. LeftON incorporates an MP3 player and vibrating component on a comfortable collar with simple controls on the right side for patient controls , output devices on the left side to provide stimuli to improve left awareness and hidden tuning controls for the rehabilitation therapist. LifeON , when worn, by DEFAULT functions as an MP3 player, playing the patients favorite songs on his/her left side only, In CHATTER (therapy) MODE it plays 1-1.5 minute excepts from favorite tunes with long quiet periods. In VIBRATE (full therapy) MODE , the vibrating component provides 1 minute of massaging on the left every 10 minutes. These stimuli have been shown to improve left awareness during therapy sessions. Daily use promises to improve patients awareness during their daily routines. Personalization: Various tuning controls are available to tune LifeON to the individual patients sensitivities to the stimuli - including volume, intensity and periodicity. Future versions should integrate a feedback mechanism that verbally awards the wearer AND provides metrics for therapists. Easy to use and wear.
