A360

A360 - open-source assistive technology concept by the TOM International Community community

The challenge

Alan likes to build trusting relationships with his care team and also maintain a sense of control in his daily routines/activities. Recently, Alan hired a new care worker. Alan needed a way to communicate his wants/needs/preferences to him easily.

Who it helps

Alan is a vibrant guy who loves to go to gigs and events in Melbourne. Alan is also very creative. His hair is always changing colour and he enjoys screen printing. Alan is a nonverbal wheelchair user who requires 24/7 care from his trusted care team.

How it works

Alan can edit the information in the A360 app himself using his gridpad device, then his care team access a published 'viewer' link to see the information. This means that A360 is a 'live' app that Alan can continue editing to communicate with his team.

A360 is customisable and editable digital app created using google slides. It enables Alan to share key information about his routines, preferences, meals, and more with his care team.

Tools needed

PC or MAC I7 +
