Adjustable Music Station

Adjustable Music Station - open-source assistive technology prototype by the Vanderbilt University community

The challenge

Susanna loves bells and chimes, but the only accessible chime structure is at a playground near her house. She doesn't have a music set-up at home she can play with independently.

Who it helps

Susanna is a 5-year-old with an undiagnosed condition. She is in a wheelchair (can't walk/stand), struggles with seizure-like activity, and has very limited communication (non-verbal without devices).

How it works

The solution will allow Susanna to play with the things she loves in all of her different seating positions.

Our proposed solution is a portable music station that Susanna can play with independently.
