TOM: Vanderbilt was founded in 2017 and has hosted 7 Makeathons since, with the 2024 Makeathon involving over 175 participants. We have documented over 30 projects on the TOM Global website, including an Independent Feeding Device, a Limb Attachment with Interchangeable Implements, a Flute Passive Prosthetic, an Adaptable Guitar Pick, and more. Along with the Makeathons, TOM: Vanderbilt has participated in three TOM Global Innovation Challenges, hosted workshops that teach different prototyping techniques, organized toy adaptation events, and planned Go Baby Go car builds. Our events are held at Vanderbilt's center for cross-disciplinary collaboration, innovation, and entrepreneurship, the Wond'ry Innovation Center.
