Adjustable Toddler Chair

Adjustable Toddler Chair - open-source assistive technology prototype by the Vanderbilt University community

The challenge

The current chairs that can be adjusted and are tailored to this audience cost hundreds of dollars and involve fully removing each of the chair's legs every time the chair's height needs to be adjusted.

Who it helps

The adjustable chair is an alternative chair for young students who are too small or need extra support in their classroom chairs.

How it works

The adjustable chair allows young students of statures too small to fit in the standard chairs at their school to participate in activities with their peers. The chair's height, side supports, and head supports can all be adjusted and customized.
