Gyroscope Integrated Headband Computer Navigation Tool

Gyroscope Integrated Headband Computer Navigation Tool - open-source assistive technology concept by the Vanderbilt University community

The challenge

Robby work requires him to use his laptop, type, and use commands. Normally, he wears a gyroscope-integrated headpiece with a attached mouthpiece which he uses to navigate and click, However, this device has many faults.

Who it helps

Robby is a Vanderbilt Alum who faces paralysis from the shoulders down, and has limited mobility in his shoulders, arms and hand due to a spinal cord injury.

How it works

The solution will prevent moisture from entering the mouthpiece eliminating moisture damage, will not be supported by the nose or a tight headband (will rather be supported with a elastic, comfortabl headband, and have various functionality for ease of use

A durable, comfortable, easy-to-use, and multifunctional computer/phone navigation tool that he can use for his work using excel and for leisure.
