Personalized bath chair that can swivel inside and outside the bath so the user can get into the shower on his or her own.
Pre-bought bath chair (image below) with modified seat and added shower caddy. This seat is meant to help with draining and be more comfortable for the user. The attached shower caddy will help with holding shampoo, conditioner, etc., in a close enough distance to the user.
Sara Grace has tetralogy of fallot. This a combination of four abnormalities. The 4 defects include a ventricular septal defect (VSD), pulmonary valve stenosis, a misplaced aorta and a thickened right ventricular wall (right ventricular hypertrophy). This causes oxygen-poor blood to flow out of the heart and into the rest of the body.
Because of this disability, Sara Grace has difficulty getting into the shower. Currently, her mom has to help her step over the ledge and into the bath so she can sit down on the bench they have now in the tub. The purpose of this device is to allow her to get in and out of the shower by herself.
Sara and her family are back for their second year at a TOM:Vanderbilt make-a-thon. She loves to wear hats and play with her family.
The build files for Bath Throne are free to download from this page - open source, shared by TOM: Tikkun Olam Makers.
