KiRogue Tray

KiRogue Tray - open-source assistive technology prototype by the Vanderbilt University community

The challenge

Stella struggles to fit under standard tables in her wheelchair. She needed a table to eat lunch and play with toys on.

Who it helps

Stella is an 8-year-old with spina bifida. She loves exploring new places and meeting new people. She uses a Ki Mobility Rogue XPe manual wheelchair, but she does not have a current tray table attachment.

How it works

This tray table allows Stella to eat meals, play with toys, and complete assignments, all from the comfort of her wheelchair.

The solution is a detachable tray that Stella can slide on and off of her wheelchair's armrests independently.
