Electronic devices are essential to daily life today. This project allows users to easily interact with them, improving independence and quality of life. It enables Ben to produce content by himself, supporting himself and the community he advocates for.
This solution can be used by individuals that can't easily use a standard computer mouse, whether due to neurological disorders that affect mobility, like cerebral palsy, or hand/finger impairments.
The joystick enables users with limited range of motion or grip strength in their hands to have precise control of the cursor. The bite switches provide a hands-free alternative to clicking or tapping, which often require greater finger strength/mobility.
A standard mouse is replaced with a joystick that allows the user to move their cursor and two bite switches for the left and right click. This wireless device easily mounts onto the user's wheelchair/desk and requires no additional software.
