About this project

The arm usage is for performing physical activities. The goal is for Laura, the person in need to perform her athletic life without any struggles. This device can detach and attach to meet certain needs. Laura Elizabeth needs this device since she is a triathlete and needs the prosthetic arm in order to compete in the bicycle portion.

The challenge

Laura requires an adaptation in her stump that allows her to optimize her performance in the use of the bicycle.

Who it helps

Laura is a swimming instructor and is studying a degree in Physical Education, she lost her arm because of a snake bite. She is a passionate athlete, she is currently in training as a triathlete (swimming, cycling, jogging)
