Dishwashing adapter for a "pajamas prosthesis"

Dishwashing adapter for a "pajamas prosthesis" - open-source assistive technology working model by the TOM Israel community community

The challenge

The project is intended to make it accessible for users after a transradial amputation to perform daily activities such as washing dishes, without unnecessary pain in the intact hand and while minimizing compensatory movements of the residual limb as much

Who it helps

Every user of "pajama prosthesis"

How it works

By using the device with the electric brush, we compensate for the absence of wrist movement, reduce the amount of motion required during the washing process, and decrease the load on both the limb stump and the intact hand.

The project is intended to help individuals with a transradial amputation make use of their limb stump during dishwashing, in order to reduce the load on the intact hand and enable a more comfortable action. The electric brush enables the use of the stump
