E-Braille

E-Braille - open-source assistive technology prototype by the TOM International Community community

The challenge

Our project is needed because right now it is hard for people who are blind and deaf to easily recive text messages and our project would allow them to more efficiently

Who it helps

This will help people who are blind and deaf.

How it works

This will address the challenge because the options currently available for use are very expensive, large, and not portable. Our product is unlike anything currently available on the market.

Our solution is product that translates online messaging into braille for people to read. Our project would cost less than $100 and would be more compact, portable, and efficient then the models currently available.
